What’s the best way to burn a California Wix Candle?

Our recommended burn time is 3-4 hours. Be sure to trim the wick to 1/4″ before each lighting. Always allow the melt pool to reach the edges of the jars before extinguishing. This will allow the candle to burn evenly and prevent “tunneling.” Be sure never to leave a candle unattended or in reach of children, pets or a draft. Allow the jar to cool completely before handling.

What wax do you use?

We use 100% soy wax for our candles and Coconut Tart Wax for Wax Melts.

Do you use essential oils?

We use high-quality fragrance oils that are specifically made for candles.

Can your containers be reused?

Yes!  Once there is about ¼ inch of wax left, stop using the candle.  Use caution and care when removing the remaining wax, wicks, and any labeling.  Our suggestion is to gently scrape out the wax and wicks/wick stickers with a plastic utensil.  Discard all wax in the trash, not down the drain or garbage disposal.  Clean the container in hot, soapy water to soften any residue and labels.  Note:  California Wix assumes no liability for candle containers or subsequent results of reuse by the consumer, once purchased.

How fragrant are your candles?

We find that our candles fill a medium-size room nicely. For larger rooms or rooms with high ceilings we recommend our  15oz candles or 2 or more 8 oz.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Domestic orders leave our studio within 24-48 business hours and take 2-7 days to arrive via USPS. We will be sure to contact you if there is any delay.

Do you offer wholesale?

Is there sales tax?

We are located in California.  The statewide tax rate is 7.25%.

What shipping method do you use?

We mostly use USPS Priority Mail or Flat Rate.

Do you ship internationally?

Not at this time.

Do you offer exchanges or returns?

All sales are final.  Refunds/Exchanges are not available.  However, California Wix will ship a replacement of the same product at no cost to the customer if products in the order arrive damaged and/or broken or customer receives incorrect items.  If this does occur, please email us at Support@CaliforniaWix.com with photo attached so that we may file a complaint with the shipping service.
